Insurance - Elimination of the Pollution Exclusion for Residential and Commercial Property

Synopsis:

Prohibiting contracts of insurance for residential and commercial property from excluding coverage for bodily injury or property damage due to discharge of pollutants or waste from heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, or refrigeration systems; prohibiting exclusions from coverage for costs due to government directions regarding such systems; exempting discharges meant to cause bodily harm or property damage; authorizing the Insurance Commissioner to adopt regulations; etc.
