Health Care Consumer Information and Education Act

Synopsis:

Requiring certain carriers, under certain circumstances, to disclose specified information concerning the carriers operating practices in a specified manner to enrollees, prospective individual purchasers, employers, and providers; specifying the information that carriers are required to disclose; prohibiting carriers from preventing providers from disclosing health care information; specifying the application of the Act; requiring carriers to file certain information with the Insurance Commissioner; etc.
