Vehicle Laws - Trailers - Titling and Taxing

Synopsis:

Exempting a trailer, other than a camping trailer, indicated by the manufacturer as having a gross vehicle weight rating of 2,500 pounds or less from the requirement to obtain a certificate of title; authorizing the Motor Vehicle Administration to register the trailer without requiring a certificate of title or an application for a certificate of title; requiring the payment of a $50 excise tax for the trailer; and exempting the trailer from the minimum excise tax of 5% or $100.
