General Assembly - Filling of Vacancy by Special Election

Synopsis:

Providing that a vacancy occurring in the House of Delegates or Senate of Maryland prior to the second year of a member's term shall be filled by a special election to coincide with the next ensuing regular congressional election; establishing procedures for the special election; deleting obsolete language; making stylistic changes; and submitting the amendment to the qualified voters of the State for their adoption or rejection.
