Neighborhood Preservation and Stabilization Act of 1996 - Demonstration Project

Synopsis:

Requiring the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City and the governing body of Baltimore County to grant a property tax credit for specified percentages of property taxes paid for owner-occupied residential real property purchased from July 1, 1996 through June 30, 1999 in designated areas of Baltimore City and Baltimore County; allowing certain property owners a credit against the State income tax; specifying the amounts of the credits; requiring reports; etc.
