Alcoholic Beverages Tax - Supplementary Appropriation - Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration

Synopsis:

Increasing the State tax rates for alcoholic beverages in Maryland as follows: for distilled spirits, from $1.50 to $3 per gallon; for wine, from 40 to 80 cents per gallon; and for beer, from 9 to 18 cents per gallon; and making a supplementary appropriation for Fiscal Year 1997 of $23,000,000 of the revenues derived as a result of the Act for specified programs under the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration.
