Mental Hygiene Law

Synopsis:

Authorizing the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to collect fees from a core service agency for treatment of those eligible for admission into specified State facilities; allowing the Department to retain fees collected for care and treatment of individuals in facilities and to maintain and operate the facilities; and repealing the authority of the Director of the Mental Hygiene Administration to establish specified districts corresponding to availability of State facilities and to appoint specified mental health directors.
