Health Insurers and Life Insurers - Disclosure of Medical Information

Synopsis:

Requiring specified medical files on applicants compiled by health and life insurers to be made available to a physician of the applicant's choice under specified circumstances; authorizing an insurer to disclose specified medical information to a physician of an insured's choice under specified circumstances; and requiring a life insurer that denies a life insurance policy to an applicant to disclose to a specified physician the results of a medical examination to determine insurability upon request of the applicant.
