Bail Bonds - Examination for Sufficiency - Required Filing

Synopsis:

Allowing a court, when setting the amount of collateral security required for posting a bail bond, to consider the street value of any controlled dangerous substance connected to or involved in the criminal charge; requiring a court, when determining the reliability of the defendant or surety, to consider the source of the money or other property used as collateral and whether either was obtained unlawfully; and requiring a defendant or surety depositing $10,000 or more for such bond to file a copy of a specified return.
