Synopsis:

Authorizing the Secretary of Public Safety and Correctional Services to designate specified employees to serve a criminal summons, warrant, or charging document in an institution operated by the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services; authorizing persons in charge of local detention centers to designate specified employees to serve a criminal summons, warrant, or charging document within the local detention centers; requiring certain training; and providing for the construction of the Act.
