Health Insurance - Small Employer Groups - Health Benefit Plans

Synopsis:

Making the Maryland Health Insurance Reform Act applicable to health benefit plans issued through a professional employer organization, coemployer, or other organization that engages in employee leasing; permitting health benefit plans issued through employee leasing organizations to have a common anniversary date; and requiring the Health Care Access and Cost Commission, in conjunction with the Maryland Insurance Administration, to conduct a specified study and to report the results of the study by November 1, 1997.
