Synopsis:

Increasing the maximum dollar amount of the Maryland Small Business Development Financing Authority's participation in franchises through the Equity Participation Investment Program from $100,000 to $500,000; repealing the $3 million annual cap for total financing under the Program; repealing the $75,000 net worth requirement in the Program; and reducing the required percentage of business ownership by socially or economically disadvantaged persons to qualify for financial assistance under the Program.
