Synopsis:

Altering the title of special traffic enforcement officers to be traffic police officers; authorizing a traffic police officer to carry defensive equipment; requiring that motor vehicles supplied for the official use of traffic police officers be equipped with signal lights and sirens; requiring the Police Commissioner of Baltimore City to authorize traffic police officers to attend and receive accreditation for classes at the police academy; deleting restrictions on the geographic jurisdiction of traffic police officers; etc.
