Health Benefits Coverage - Inpatient Hospitalization for Mastectomy

Synopsis:

Requiring health insurers, nonprofit health service plans, and health maintenance organizations to provide coverage for the cost of inpatient hospitalization services for mastectomy patients for a period of time determined by the physician in consultation with the patient; and prohibiting specified actions against physicians for advocating the interests of their patients.
