State Income Tax - Credit for Federal Harbor Maintenance Tax Paid

Synopsis:

Allowing an individual or a corporation a credit against the State income tax for harbor maintenance tax paid to the federal government during the taxable year with respect to the shipment of break-bulk cargo or containerized cargo by sea and ocean-going vessels through a port located in the State; providing for the carryforward of unused credit if the amount of the credit exceeds the State income tax; defining terms; and applying the Act to tax years after 1996.
