Synopsis:

Broadening the application of the term "correctional officer" to include employees of private contractors or vendors who perform specified correctional duties; requiring these employees to meet the same training requirements that are set for governmental correctional officers by the Correctional Training Commission; clarifying a requirement for meeting qualifications set by the Correctional Training Commission; and generally relating to training requirements for correctional officers.
