Gifted and Talented Student Education - Excellence in Education Incentive Grant Program

Synopsis:

Establishing the Excellence in Education Incentive Grant Program in the State Department of Education; requiring local boards of education that receive grants to develop and implement specified programs, provide staff development, and disseminate specified information; requiring the State Board of Education to establish criteria for awarding grants and to evaluate and monitor grant programs and services; and requiring that funding for the Act be provided from specified amounts in the Governor's budget.
