Prohibiting a District Court commissioner from releasing pretrial an
individual previously convicted of a crime of violence, in this State
or elsewhere, if the individual is charged with another crime of
violence; clarifying that a judge may allow pretrial release on
suitable bail, specified conditions, or on a combination of the two;
and requiring a judge to order continued detention of a defendant
under specified circumstances.
