Insurance Premiums Tax - For-Profit Health Maintenance Organizations

Synopsis:

Imposing the insurance premiums tax on for-profit health maintenance organizations; providing that premiums to be taxed include subscription charges and other amounts paid to a for-profit health maintenance organization on a specified basis as compensation for providing health care services to members; and applying the Act to tax years after 1997.
