Deaf Students - Access to Out-of-State Specialized Educational Centers

Synopsis:

Authorizing deaf students within the State on approval by the State Superintendent of Schools to attend as day students educational centers outside the State if the deaf student is a Maryland resident and resides more than 50 miles from any branch of the Maryland School for the Deaf; and requiring the Department and the county in which the deaf student resides to reimburse the out-of-state specialized educational center for costs.
