Human Relations Commission - Discrimination in Employment - Private Causes of Action

Synopsis:

Prohibiting the construction of certain provisions of law regarding discrimination in employment to create a private cause of action unless an employee is discharged by an employer employing less than 15 persons on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, marital status, or physical or mental handicap; authorizing a specified court to order certain types of relief for violations of the Act; prohibiting a court from ordering additional compensatory or punitive damages; etc.
