Unemployment Insurance - Exemption From Covered Employment - Newspaper Distribution

Synopsis:

Establishing that work by an individual engaged in the trade or business of delivering or distributing newspapers or shopping news, that meets all other requirements for the direct seller exemption, is not covered employment for purposes of unemployment insurance; allowing wages that are paid for such work performed through September 30, 1997 to be used in determining monetary eligibility for unemployment insurance benefits; and generally relating to direct sellers under the unemployment insurance law.
