Health Insurance Coverage for Individuals Under Guardianship

Synopsis:

Establishing eligibility for coverage for health benefits for individuals for whom guardianship is granted to an insured under a court or testamentary appointment under specified circumstances; making the Act applicable to health insurers, nonprofit health service plans, and health maintenance organizations; specifying when coverage is required for individuals under guardianship; and authorizing insurers to require proof of eligibility.
