Vehicle Laws - Driving While License Suspended or Revoked for Alcohol and Drug Related Driving Offenses - Vehicle Impoundment

Synopsis:

Allowing a court, as a sentence, part of a sentence, or condition of probation, to order the impoundment or immobilization of a vehicle driven by an owner whose license was suspended or revoked for alcohol or drug related driving offenses; providing for length of impoundment or immobilization; providing for consideration of specified factors by the court in determining whether to order an impoundment or immobilization; requiring the owner who drove the vehicle with a suspended or revoked license to pay specified costs; etc.
