Synopsis:

Authorizing members of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) police to carry and use Authority-issued weapons off duty; requiring defined notice and public hearing procedures for the adoption of WMATA regulations; requiring WMATA jurisdictions to prosecute criminal violations of WMATA rules and regulations as they prosecute all other criminal violations; and repealing a requirement regarding reimbursement of WMATA by an individual convicted of a crime against WMATA.
