Tobacco Tax - Tobacco Tax Health Protection Fund

Synopsis:

Imposing the tobacco tax on tobacco products other than cigarettes at a rate of 20% of the wholesale price of the other tobacco products; increasing the tax rate for cigarettes from 36 cents to 51 cents per pack; providing for a Tobacco Crop Conversion Program; creating a special fund for alcohol and drug abuse prevention and treatment services and for tobacco awareness advertising; providing for the distribution of tobacco tax revenue for the crop conversion program, the Tobacco Tax Health Protection Fund, and school construction; etc.
