Synopsis:

Altering the judicial appointment and parental designation procedures of a standby guardian of the person or property of a minor child of a parent for whom there is a significant risk of dying or becoming incapacitated within 2 years of the filing of the petition; requiring that notice be given to specified persons of a petition for the appointment or designation of a standby guardian; providing for the challenge of the appointment or designation of a standby guardian; etc.
