Dorchester County - Cambridge Redevelopment Act

Synopsis:

Enabling the Board of County Commissioners for Dorchester County to authorize the construction of a hotel, marina, and conference center with up to 1,000 slot machines along the Choptank River in Cambridge; requiring that the project be worth at least $100 million, provide at least 1,100 jobs, house a marina with at least 200 slips, and adhere to the prevailing wage law for Cambridge; imposing a gross receipt tax on slot machines; providing for the allocation of the tax; and enabling the Board to submit the Act to County referendum.
