Business Regulation - Home Improvement Commission - Exemptions From Licensure

Synopsis:

Exempting from licensure a person for whom compensation derived from home improvement work is not more than 10% of the person's annual gross income; requiring a person exempted from licensure by the Act to obtain an acknowledgment from the consumer that the consumer knows that the person is not licensed to perform home improvement work before doing the work; and requiring the Maryland Home Improvement Commission to adopt regulations to effectuate and enforce the Act, including a definition of "annual gross income".
