Synopsis:

Requiring the State's Attorney of each county to return any weapon confiscated from a defendant in a criminal case if the defendant is acquitted or the charge is dismissed or quashed; requiring that a confiscated weapon be returned within 48 hours after the verdict is announced or the charge is dismissed or quashed; and generally relating to the return of confiscated weapons by the State's Attorney.
