Professional Counselors - Scope of Practice

Synopsis:

Altering the definition of "alcohol and drug counseling" under the Maryland Professional Counselors Act to include, as to a certified professional counselor-alcohol and drug, assistance through the identification and assessment of client needs; altering the definition of "appraisal" to authorize the use of specified methods and techniques for the purpose of therapeutic intervention; and altering the definition of "counseling" to provide that specified assistance is based on identification and assessment of client needs; etc.
