Maryland Health Care Access and Cost Commission - Modifications and Clarifications

Synopsis:

Delaying implementation of the health care practitioner payment system until January 1, 1999; broadening the group of self-employed individuals that qualify as small employers for eligibility under the Maryland Health Insurance Reform Act to include individuals organized in any manner that a self-employed individual may legally be organized; authorizing carriers to request documentation verifying that the criteria of a small employer are met; requiring a specified study; etc.
