Vehicle Laws - School Vehicles - Standing by Pupils

Synopsis:

Prohibiting a person from transporting more than a certain number of pupils on a school bus, or from allowing pupils to stand while the bus is moving, except in an emergency; requiring the driver of a school bus to drive at a slower speed when pupils are standing; requiring the Motor Vehicle Administration and the State Department of Education to adopt regulations before the 1997-1998 school year; and requiring the Department to report to the General Assembly by January 1 of each year beginning at the end of the 1997-1998 school year.
