State Procurement - Preferences - Employment Enhancement Business

Synopsis:

Requiring the Board of Public Works to establish a program requiring specified primary procurement units to provide a specified share of procurement contracts to certified employment enhancement businesses; providing that the goal of the program is to encourage specified businesses to hire and train individuals who have been terminated from certain assistance programs, who have been honorably discharged from a branch of the United States armed forces, or who reside in specified empowerment zones or enterprise zones; etc.
