Court Fees - Criminal Cases - Law Enforcement Agencies

Synopsis:

Requiring the District Court and a circuit court to impose on a defendant who is convicted of a crime an additional fee of $5 in the case; requiring all money collected under the Act to be paid to the Comptroller of this State; and requiring the Comptroller to deposit equal shares of each fee into the operating budget of each law enforcement agency with the authority to enforce the laws within the jurisdiction of the court that collected the fee.
