Synopsis:

Creating an Internal Investigative Unit in the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services to investigate alleged criminal violations committed by employees of the Department while on duty or by inmates, visitors, or other individuals in the Department's facilities or programs, and to investigate professional misconduct by employees; providing that the investigators in the Unit have the same authority as peace and police officers on specified property and under specified circumstances; etc.
