Entitled:
Handguns - Child Resistance Standards

Synopsis:

Requiring that on or after October 1, 2000, handguns that are sold must meet State performance standards for child resistance; requiring that performance standards for child resistance be designed so that a child under the age of 6 years would have difficulty in firing a handgun; and requiring that the Secretary of State Police adopt regulations by January 1, 2000, to carry out the Act.
