Synopsis:

Requiring builders of single-family residential dwellings, begun or permitted after October 1, 1999, to offer to a prospective buyer, prior to the signing of a construction contract, the option of having certain sprinkler systems installed; authorizing certain exceptions to local fire and building codes under certain circumstances; requiring that installations of certain sprinkler systems meet certain standards; requiring certain disclosures by a builder under certain circumstances; etc.
