Synopsis:

Authorizing specified employees of the University of Maryland Medical System Corporation who participate in the Employees' Pension System to qualify for contributory pension benefits; providing that the employees of the University of Maryland Medical System Corporation are entitled to benefits as of July 1, 1998; providing for the purchase of service credit to avoid an actuarial deficiency adjustment in an allowance payable on behalf of members; providing for the payment of the liabilities under the Act; etc.
