Fire and Rescue Services - Local Government - Contracting with For-Profit Entities

Synopsis:

Prohibiting counties or municipal corporations that collectively bargain with fire, emergency medical services, paramedic, or rescue personnel from contracting with for-profit entities for fire, emergency medical, paramedic, or rescue services without the enactment of an ordinance or other local law authorizing the action; providing that the requirement that a county or municipal corporation enact an ordinance or other local law may not be satisfied through the enactment of a local budget bill; etc.
