Education - Children in State-Supervised Care

Synopsis:

Requiring a school to establish a program to ensure that inappropriate behavior by a student in State-supervised care is assessed before the school enrollment or performance of the student is jeopardized; establishing procedures and guidelines for a school's program; requiring the Department to adopt specified regulations; and prohibiting a school from suspending or expelling a student in State-supervised care before performing an assessment unless the student poses a risk to other students.
