Residential Home Mortgages - Mortgagee's Duty to Record Satisfaction or Release

Synopsis:

Requiring a mortgagee of a residential home mortgage to take certain steps to record the satisfaction or release of the mortgage within 30 days of the date of satisfaction or release; and providing that a mortgagee who violates this requirement is guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine not exceeding $5,000.
