Estates and Trusts - Adopted Child's Claim to Biological Parent's Estate

Synopsis:

Authorizing an adopted child to make a claim for distribution of the net estate of a deceased biological parent when no other person is entitled; limiting the right to make a claim; setting a time limitation on the right to make a claim; establishing procedural requirements; allowing a claim for a refund of the payment of a deceased biological parent's net estate to the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene or a board of education; etc.
