Partial-Birth Abortions - Prohibition
Prohibiting the performance of partial-birth abortions unless
necessary to save the life of the mother; specifying that the Act does
not interfere with a woman's decision to terminate a pregnancy under
specified circumstances by any procedure other than the partial-birth
abortion procedure; establishing penalties for performing
partial-birth abortions; authorizing an individual who is charged with
an offense under the Act to seek a hearing before the State Board of
Physician Quality Assurance; establishing civil remedies; etc.
