Handgun Permits - Course Requirements - Qualified Instructors

Synopsis:

Raising the age requirement for a holder of a permit to carry a handgun from 18 to 21 years of age or older; requiring that an applicant for a permit be certified by a qualified handgun instructor; establishing certification requirements; establishing requirements for issuance of a qualified handgun instructor's card; establishing a 45-day period in which the Secretary of the State Police must issue a permit after an approved application; authorizing the Secretary to deny, suspend, or revoke a card or reprimand a cardholder; etc.
