Synopsis:

Narrowing the scope of a provision that provides that an enrollee or subscriber of a health maintenance organization (HMO) is not liable to any health care provider for specified services to make this provision applicable only to a health care provider under written contract with the HMO; establishing that an enrollee or subscriber of an HMO is not prohibited from privately contracting with a health care provider who is not under contract with the HMO for the provision of health care services; etc.
