Vehicle Laws - Alcoholic Beverages - Open Containers

Synopsis:

Prohibiting a person from keeping a container in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle while that vehicle is on a highway or right-of-way if the container contains alcohol and has had its seal broken or its contents partially removed; providing that the Act does not prohibit a person other than the driver from possessing an open alcoholic container in a bus, Class B (for hire) vehicle, or the living quarters of a mobile home; establishing a maximum penalty for a violation of the Act; and defining terms.
