Vehicle Laws - Drivers Failing to Stop for School Buses - Enforcement
Initiative
Establishing a grant program to assist law enforcement agencies with
enforcement efforts pertaining to motorists' failure to stop for
school vehicles; establishing the School Bus Safety Enforcement Fund;
providing $600,000 each year, through fiscal year 2005, from uninsured
motorist penalties to fund the program; requiring the Department of
State Police to administer the program; increasing, from 2 to 3, the
points assessed by the Motor Vehicle Administration against a motorist
convicted for failure to stop for a school vehicle; etc.
