Entitled:
Maryland College Investment Plan - Foster Care Youth

Synopsis:

Requiring the State to contribute an annual grant of $2,000 into investment accounts in the Maryland College Investment Plan established for the purpose of providing higher education to specified individuals who are in foster care or who were in foster care prior to the age of 14; providing for the termination of those grant payments under specified circumstances; requiring the State to maintain a separate investment account for each of the beneficiaries of the Plan until specified events take place; etc.
