Synopsis:

Establishing the Maryland School Safety Partnership Program; requiring the State Board of Education to solicit grant proposals from county boards of education for hiring additional guidance counselors; requiring the State Board to select grant proposals for implementation based on specified criteria; requiring the State Board to distribute funds to county boards to implement selected grant proposals; and requiring a participating county board to submit reports on the Program to the State Superintendent of Schools.
